Ekelund Vinterliv brushed organic cotton blanket
EKELUND Vinterliv blanket
Regular price $230.00 Sale price $205.00Brushed GOTS-certified organic cotton. This brushed organic cotton has a soft, slightly fuzzy and SUPER cozy feel to it.
Nest Notes: In our family, one of us adults find the 'weight' /warmth of this blanket suitable to have over a bedsheet on nights where the temperature dips freezing, and the other one of us adults in the family meanwhile on those same nights, has a bedsheet, light duvet, and this blanket atop of the foot section of the duvet. Also, very cozy as a couch blanket. The 'breathability' of the blanket isn't as great as a sheet alone, and on a mild night, overheating would be a concern. With our sensitivities, the adults and children in the family all appreciate these organic cotton blankets from Ekelund Weavers, as they're mild on all the senses.
140 x 170 cm (55 x 68 inches).

New Zealand lambskin rug, honey
RUSKO 7905
Regular price $225.00Sheepskin rug especially for baby care.
Versatile rug for prams, strollers, sleds, cots, lounging and baby care. According to a scientific study in Germany the rugs also health benefits: the rug’s microbiome can help prevent asthma.
Our sheepskins are mulesing-free, water-washable and come from a trusted partner in New Zealand. Only organic substances, such as antibacterial essential oils, have been used to process them. In addition, the lambskins have been protected with a sanitized treatment to ensure no bacteria, fungi or odors develop.
Dense, plush, soft, and silky environmentally-friendly lambskin rug in natural honey colour.
For an infant or child, these are ideal for having next to the crib or bed, in the rocking chair to sit on, or on the floor next to it, or creating a little soft spot for a baby or child to rest or play.
For an older child, or adult, start the day with a good feeling by lying one on the ground next to the bed to be the first thing your feet touch in the morning. These natural long wool sheepskin rugs are extremely cozy and are a great way to add extra comfort and style to your home.
These lambskins are treated with sustainability and the environment in mind, particularly during the tanning process.
For the environmentally-friendly and safe practices of the tanning process used by Classic Sheepskins New Zealand, ingredients used are important but also quantities and water levers have effects on the environment. Their methods employed recycle large amounts of the water and chemicals used through the process. This means that the amounts used to tan the skins is extremely low comparatively-speaking. Most of the chemicals can be found in household products and are all very safe. Note all of the lambskins and sheepskins are pulled from the tanning baths with bare hands as the nature of the chemicals used is quite mild in this regard.
Please note that these differ from the sheepskins that we sell in the following ways:
The regular single lambskins are made with young children in mind, as they are tested and certified under the strict criteria of ISO 9001 Quality systems. The single lambskins are also sanitized using a patented Swiss treatment to prevent mold and mildew growth. This treatment meets OEKO-text standards. Safety for both humans and the environment is paramount to the entire sanitation process. They also differ in that these single lambskins are just a very little smaller in size and are lambskins, while the sheepskins we sell (double, quattro, and sexto) are from more mature sheep - although still just as luxurious and soft, and most people would not be able to tell the difference in a blindfolded test.
Dimensions for the lambskins are approximate as they naturally vary in size:
Overall rug: approximately 85 cm x 70 cm, may vary somewhat. Wool pile length: 60 - 70 mm unshorn
**Also available in ivory.
Machine-washable. Air dry in a bright, well-ventilated spot. We recommend to brush with one of our metal combs afterward to preserve the luxury of the pile so that it is not as matted. Many people will also purchase and use a pet hair brush with metal teeth for this task.

Regular price $50.00A place to empty one's pockets at the end of a day. Some people use it as a very simple jewellery box.
Choose from all cherry or all birds-eye maple.
Handmade in the Shaker tradition by Brent Rourke in New Brunswick.
Dating initially from around 1798, shaker oval boxes and carriers were produced for over 150 years. They were economical to build and stored easily as you could nest a whole set in the space of the largest box. Although shaker boxes and carriers are considered decorative today, they were originally a working box. The shakers used them for storing kitchen ingredients or shop supplies.
Made the same today as in the olden times, with tiny wooden dowels and copper tacks that are produced on machinery over a century old. Shaker Boxes and Carriers have made their mark and done their part in history and are prized today for the patience and skill required to make them.
