Free shipping on orders over $120 Canadian* 
$9.50 Canadian flat rate shipping on orders less than $120 Canadian*

We ship via Canada Post/ USPS or FedEx courier to Canada.  Alternate shipping may be arranged for some heavy or oversized items.

If you prefer your order to be left at the door or to sign for a shipment, or if there are any special delivery instructions, let us know in the Notes section toward the end of check-out, and we'll try our best on our end to relay to the postal carrier.  Please note that not all shipping destinations or service standards can always accommodate, but we'll do what we can. 

Please let us know if there is a birthday or some other important date that you are looking to have your order arrive by!  We take birthdays very seriously around here, and it matters greatly to us to do everything we can to have your order arrive within a safe window of time! 

If you are placing your order last minute, and you might need faster shipping, we can let you know right away different options and costs.

  

TRANSIT TIMES - CANADA

Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec City: 1 day delivery. 

Halifax: 2 business days.

Fredericton: 3 business days.

St John's: 4 business days.

Winnipeg: 3 business days.

Saskatchewan, Calgary, Edmonton - 4 business days.

Vancouver, Victoria: 5 business days .

Rural areas add 1 business day to above times. Some remote destinations have longer transit times.

 

We normally ship within 1 – 2 business days of receiving your order.  However, the last year has been anything but normal.  Due to us and our staff taking extra safety precautions, and due to packing helpers needing to be home with their own families during this time as well, we don't have as many hands packing.  Because of this, and as well during some high volume periods, we can get a backlog of anywhere from 5-10 business days in order processing time.  We normally try our best for our parcels, but if you have a date that you need the order to arrive to you by, please do email us or let us know in the 'Notes' section towards the end of checkout.

On rare occasions postal service or couriers can experience longer transit times (e.g. because of weather or misdirected mail).  Please reach out if you need faster shipping.
If you need an item to arrive quickly, email or call us to make arrangements (613) 241-7333, and we can look into faster shipping with an applicable surcharge.

*Additional shipping charges apply to a small number of oversized or heavy items and for shipments to remote locations. We will contact you to discuss if extra charges are required.  

With Canada Post deliveries, whether your parcel is delivered to your door (or your community mailbox if you have one), or if you have to sign for delivery, or if you are carded with a notice to pick up at your local post office is not something under our control and more depends on other factors from the postal carriers' end.  If you have a preference for any of these, we are sometimes able to specify when creating the shipping label, so please don't hesitate to add a note at checkout for this, and we'll try our best on our end.

 

Transit times leading up to Christmas:

Please let us know in Notes at checkout the date that you need your order for safely, and we'll do our best.  We ship from Ottawa, Canada, and the transit time to most cities across North America varies depending on a number of factors, but as a general guide: 

 

Special Order & Pre-order Items:

Some items on our site are designated 'special order'.  An item that is special order means that we do not have it in stock, and we will order it in especially for you, once you have placed your order.  The wait time will vary depending on the item.  We endeavour to have items here as soon as we can for special orders, but it depends on both the manufacturer and the transit time from them to us.  In some cases, it could be an item hand-carved especially for you, and it could take some time for it to be made; in other cases, it is already in stock by a manufacturer, and it is only the transit that we are dependant on.  

If you are ordering a special order item or an item that is by pre-order, the other items in your order will be held waiting to ship with it.  If you need other items sooner, than please reach out to us, and we'll see what we can do with respect to shipping charges for a split shipment.

 

US Orders:

Please be sure to visit our US site: us.nest.ca.  Please note that we cannot ship Grimm's or Grapat brands to the US at this time, at the request of those manufacturers that retailers ship only within their own regions.

 

International Orders:

Please contact us with your query.  Shipping rates depend on both location and package dimensions, and as well available transit time, tracking, and insurance options.  Please note, however, that we only ship to other countries as an exception.  We generally would not like to step on other retailers' toes, as each geographical area has its own factors for pricing and availability.  We know we sometimes might have something special that you can't find near to home though, and we do get the odd request like this.  Please also note our regrets that during the busy period right before Christmas, we are generally too busy to do shipping quotes for international orders.

 

Returns Policy:

We want you to be happy with your order. If you want to return an item, please Contact Us ahead of time for a return authorization.  We will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from your order.  Normally, returns authorized within 30 days from date of receipt of order are eligible for a refund, with store credit after this.  Shipping charges are non-refundable and may be deducted from return amounts if this is greater than any original flat-rate shipping charged or if the order originally shipped for free.  5% Restocking Fee to be assessed on any refund amount in excess of $400, in part to cover the credit card charges associated with the original purchase and refund.
Any and all returned items must be in new, unused, unwashed and re-salable condition – no exceptions.  Items returned in less than perfect condition may not be eligible for return, and if requested by the customer, then be sent back at the customer’s expense. 

** Special request and sale items are non-refundable.  Some items such as intimate apparel and some baby goods, for example, may be non-returnable.
