Filled with spelt chaff from the Swabian Alps, it also makes it a popular cuddly toy for older children.  The spelt chaff inlet may be removed, and the cotton outer washed separately if need be.  The spelt chaff may also be replaced regularly to control for allergies or if any spilled liquid or otherwise dampness affected the inner.  In this way, this makes for a very naturally safe and hygienic stuffy, for those with chemical sensitivities or who otherwise prefer more natural materials in their living space.
