The use of a braider comes from Japan and is 1000 years old. The braiding is known there as Kumihimo. Kumi means braids and Himo means cord. Our braid star has 8 slots, which you can weave a string of up to 7 strands. Creates a strong seven-coloured braid and when using our rainbow wool it is even more colourful.

The stars are made of 5 mm thick felt and are sold here individually.

We particularly recommend the silk & wool blend yarn from Filges for use with the braid stars, but our Filges Bioland 100% wool yarn can be used.
