Not scientifically precise, but a great scale to grasp the concepts. Also, a small slider on the top allows for some fine tuning.
Visually, once the pointer stick is pointing straight down to the ground, perpendicular to the horizon, then the two scales are balanced.
Metal plates hang from each side. Pile on some crab apples, some blocks, or whatever else at hand. Oh, yes, and it also comes with 4 wooden weights.
Assembled dimensions: 32 cm high x 43 cm wide x 14.5 cm deep.
