Stockmar’s top-quality coloured pencils are designed to meet the highest standards in terms of colour selection, material safety, and sustainable production. Made from natural linden wood from sustainably managed forests (FSC certified) and crafted with environmental and health-friendly practices, these pencils are as responsible as they are beautiful. And it goes without saying they're also AP certified non-toxic.

Each pencil features a thick, break-resistant 6.25 mm core with a soft yet powerful colour application. Thanks to a high pigment content and a unique colour coordination system based on Goethe’s extended colour circle, the colours are vibrant, natural-looking, and perfectly harmonized. They can be easily blended for a wide range of artistic effects.

These unlacquered pencils feature a large, triangular shape that offers a comfortable and ergonomic grip—ideal for small hands, beginners learning proper pencil grip, or anyone prone to hand fatigue. The extra-thick lead cores are extremely break-resistant and water-resistant, last longer than standard coloured pencils, and require less frequent sharpening.

This 6 + 1 set includes six bright, vibrant colours and one graphite B pencil, all in a practical, attractive box—perfect as a gift for the first day of school or a creative start to the school year.

This set is one of several — Stockmar offers 24 brilliant colours in total!

Length: 17.5 cm, width: 10 mm, unlacquered

Colours: 01 carmine red | 44 mid yellow | 07 green | 09 blue | 13 rust | 15 black | graphite pencil B +1

An aside:

In Steiner education the triangular grip pencil introduces the pencil grip to the child.  It encourages holding the pencil in a relaxed and correct manner.  This is important at the stage they begin to formally learn to write.  Its thick rounded triangular shaft is designed to help the child develop the perfect pencil grip.

In summary the exploration and introduction of writing and drawing to the child follows the developmental readiness of the child:

First the Stockmar Block Crayons are used to explore colour and form on paper

Next the Stockmar Stick Crayons are introduced to add more direction to the form

Followed by the Triangular Pencil when the child begins to learn to write with its thick rounded triangular shaft designed to develop the perfect pencil grip

Then the Hexagonal Pencil which is an artist quality pencil suitable for children and adults

And finally the Fountain Pen for the speed and pure flow of clear precise writing skills.
