reversible 11-20 board, with wool balls
TFJ revers 11-20 board wool balls
Regular price $110.00 Sale price $95.00 Save 14%This is a Reversible Board--meaning you receive one board but with both sides engraved. One side will have large tracing numbers on it. The other side will have the sections of dimples for counting balls. Photo shows both sides (just know that it is one board).
Our 11-20 Reversible Board is a combination of learning to write numbers while identifying their value. Tracing the smooth grooves of the large numbers builds muscle memory for children as they learn to write on their own. Filling the dimples with wood balls (or beads, snacks, stones, shells, etc) matches the number of items to the written numeral.
When a child is learning numbers, just showing them the number 12 doesn’t mean they understand what it represents. By using this board, your child then sees the relationship between what the number looks like and how many objects are included with it. Even after your child has learned numbers, they can use the board for more activities. Here are some ideas for learning through play…

Chinese reversible 1-10 board
TFJ revers 1-10 board, chinese
Regular price $70.00 Sale price $45.00 Save 36%This is an original 'From Jennifer' design that combines tracing and counting into a learning toy/tool for children. It can help one learn how to form their Chinese numbers correctly and learn what each number represents. This is a maple hardwood board engraved with gently curved grooves, providing a form to trace with either your finger or the included tracing stick.
Measures 10.5 x 7.5-inches and is 1/2" thick.
Please keep in mind that small wooden balls can pose a choking hazard for young children, so it is recommended to use the balls with children only over the age of 3 years old. The maker did hear back from one customer that instead of using the balls, she put dry breakfast cereal in their place. The maker suggests they even think it would be fun with raisins, chocolate chips, etc. Many others have used beads, small stones, and even flower petals to fill the dimples and large tracing numbers of the board.
The numbers side is the side of the board with large numbers and grooves that you will trace to feel the motion of writing each number. You may also enjoy doing crayon rubbings of the numbers or filling their grooves with the balls from the counting side (or other things such as beads, stones, etc).

Regular price $34.00Twenty frames are used to help children learn counting as well as addition and subtraction practice with numbers 1-20. 100 frame in walnut with wool balls
TFJ 100 frame in walnut wool balls
Regular price $95.00This Hundred Board is crafted from solid hardwood and features one hundred dimples ready for your child to fill up while counting, creating patterns, practicing mathematical equations, discovering cardinal directions, and more. It comes with 100 colourful wool balls (as shown in the photos).
* Fill each dimple with a ball while counting from 1 to 100.
* The engraved lines help the child "subitize" numbers, which means they can perceive the number of items in a group quickly without counting each item individually. It is based on groups of five and whether it is more or less than five. They'll learn the number seven is five and two more. Or forty-three is the fourth row down and three dimples over--all without counting all forty-three dimples. There is a lot of good info available regarding subitizing. We were introduced to it through Rightstart Math.
* Practice skip counting by placing balls only in the number you're working on such as 3, 6, 9, etc. Notice the patterns that emerge.
* Designate a quadrant of the board for you and one for your child. Place the balls in your quadrant a certain way and ask your child to copy it in their area (either exactly or as a mirror image).
* Think of the board as a compass and ask your child to mark the dimple that is 4 degrees west and 7 degrees south from the middle point.
* Learn positive and negative numbers by designating the middle point as 0. Then play with the X and Y axises (X being horizontal movement and the Y axis being vertical movement). Thus, finding -3 on the X axis is three dimples to the left of the middle.
* Play games such as rolling a dice and adding that many balls to the board (starting at the top left corner). Then roll again and add that many. Continue until the board is full.
Measures 11-inches square. Include balls but not coins.
NOTE: The last photo shows the Hundred Frame Board along with 'Treasures from Jennifer' Number Coins and 'ten board' and 'twenty boards' which are sold separately.

TFJ coins with pegs, multiplication set
Regular price $42.50These number coins are coordinate with the Ten, Twenty, and Hundred Frames from Treasures from Jennifer. They offer even more learning and play as your child places each into the dimples of the boards.
Some activity ideas:
• Each row shows the number as it skip counts up until a multiple of ten.
• You can use these coins to create the multiplication chart and then use it for practicing multiplication and division. What is 3 times 5? Place one finger on the 3 at the top of the chart and five at the side. Then follow the row/column towards the middle of the board until your fingers meet and that's the answer!
• Reverse for division by starting with the larger number. What is 63 divided by 7? In the 7 column, find the coin for 63 and which row is it on? That's your answer to 63 divided by 7!
• Remove certain numbers from the board and ask your child what's missing? Then they replace the coins to finish the board.
• Use a row of color all on its own on the board along with wood or wool balls to show the multiples of each number.

Fractions coins with pegs for hundred board
TFJ coins with pegs, fractions set
Regular price $25.00These fraction coins are 1-inch diameter. They offer more learning and play with your ten, twenty, and hundred frames as your child places each into the dimples of the boards. This listing is for the coins only, no board or balls are included (only in photos for demonstration).
Some activity ideas:
• Create a number line of fractions according to their size. Remember the value of the fraction is based on the whole number you start with.
• Learn about Numerators and Denominators. Sort and line up fractions based on their numerators and denominators.
• Use your frame board to show the fraction using balls-- 2/3 can be two red balls and one blue ball.
• Fill up one quadrant of your hundred frame with balls to show 1/4.
• Learn about Equivalent Fractions
• Line up ten wool balls in a few different colors on one line. Ask your child to label the fraction for each colored ball. For instance, there are four pink balls. That's 4/10. There are five blue balls, that's 1/2 or 5/10. And that leaves 1/10 of the balls as the last color, perhaps yellow.
• Use the fraction coins with our Number Coins for creating Mixed Fractions.
• Simplify fractions to convert to smaller denominators.
NOTE: This listing is for the coins only and does not include a board. The Hundred Boards are available separately in the shop.
