Divided into sections, the book outlines Steiner's comments on schools and lessons in general, as well as many details on his thinking on specific issues ranging from different age groups to classroom decoration and arrangement.

Reviews

"This book is a translation of a collection of primary source material generated during the establishment of the first Waldorf School in 1919. It is fragmentary, from a variety of sources (private notes, lecture transcripts, reminiscences), and arranged thematically. As such it is not a good introduction for the topic. It is, however, an invaluable resource for people who want to research what the original impulse and thinking behind the curriculum was. It really helps to have a broad familiarity with Waldorf schools before trying to get into this. That said, most Waldorf classroom teachers I know own a copy." ~ DH487
